Intel PC Pal Program

Herbert Green is looking for any parents, guardians and family members willing to participate in our PC Pals Program. If interested in participating and you work for Intel please email Mr. Shupe at dshupe@mlusd.net.

Summary of the PC Pals Program

The PC Pals program is an e-mail mentoring program between students of area schools and Intel employee volunteers.  The Intel volunteer encourages the student in school, stressing education importance for their future. The students develop computer skills by using e-mail and have an Intel volunteer as their mentor. It’s exciting for the student and Intel volunteer looking for that special e-mail message from their PC Pal and keeping the communication going throughout the school year.  A strong commitment from the school and Intel is necessary for the success of this program.

A Team Lead is the primary contact for the Intel volunteers and a designated teacher is the primary contact for the school. All Intel employees must successfully complete a criminal background check by Corporate Security and the police department.

Through the Intel Foundation, your school will receive a $200 Volunteer Matching Grant for every 20 hours Intel employees volunteer for your school.
